Photo Gallery About Cheryl Doss, RN I would love to add the skill of permanent makeup to my menu of services. While I had heard about different ways or methods of providing permanent makeup, when I heard about the SofTap ® hand method, I thought it was something new!
Looking closer, I discovered the hand method was really the first of methods used in ancient times -- for people like Cleopatra! Of course, SofTap ® is a modernized version of the hand method, and is actually considered "state of the art!" I've learned that the SofTap ® way is 100% disposable, too, which means I wouldn't spend extra time or money sterilizing and maintaining equipment. With pre-sterilized SofTap ®, when I am through using supplies, I'll toss them! ...I like that! I've heard women say they "love" their SofTap ® Permanent Makeup and SofTap ® is the easiest method to master for the professional, besides being the most comfortable method to receive . When I learned that Cheryl is certified as a trainer and after talking with a few of Cheryl's former trainees, I realized I had found the perfect method and the perfect trainer for me, too! Cheryl, whose primary background is nursing, also has a history in fashion design and illustration. Additionally, she is a licensed facial specialist and is certified by Central Texas College in medical aesthetics. She has been dedicated to the permanent cosmetics industry since 1997, when she founded Lasting Impressions ® in Venice, FL. Cheryl currently holds CMI (Certified Micropigmentation Instructor) status with the American Academy of Micropigmentation. She has contributed articles to Cosmetech Magazine, the SPCP newsletter, and has been a guest speaker at both the AAM and SPCP permanent cosmetic conventions. Cheryl has a style and flair for the art and science of permanent makeup and has been helping new trainees get their SofTap ® start since 2001. You will enjoy your learning experience with Cheryl! She takes pride in providing you with the know-how to work safely and beautifully using SofTap ® whether you plan to work independently, within salons, day-spas, medical spas or physicians' offices. "I thoroughly enjoyed Cheryl's instruction and class." Debra Tsampas, R.N. Boston, MA "I don't think anything could have been taught or done differently. It was a very good class!" Johnna Pellegrini, Cosmetologist, Englewood, FL "I thought is was an excellent class -- very informative, with a lot of hands-on models to work on." Jocelyn Hartman, R.N. Raleigh, NC | Cheryl believes that permanent makeup is a combination of art and science -- that learning is a process, and that one's level of confidence can be measured and linked directly to the quality of training received. | | It is a rewarding experience to provide your clients with the "lasting beauty and wonderful convenience of permanent cosmetics. I teach professionals how to perform permanent cosmetic procedures using the SofTap (R) hand-method because it is the easiest method to learn; it is safe and most preferred by clients I've talked to who have had both the machine and hand method performed for them. The reason is that SofTap is less uncomfortable, and the outcome is lovely. SofTap (R) is 100% disposable, too, which means not only is cleanup is a snap, but cleanliness and sterility are assured. "Friendly, warm and inviting environment for instruction and learning. Cheryl is very detail oriented. Above all, Cheryl is very professional. I would highly recommend this training for anyone wanting to get into the permanent makeup industry." Jackie Catlett, R.N. |

"You have so much to offer, so much to give, and so much you deserve to receive in return. Don't ever doubt that. Know yourself and all of your fine qualities. Rejoice in all your marvelous strengths of mind and body. Be glad for the virtues that are yours, and pat yourself on the back for all your many admirable achievements. Keep positive. Concentrate on that which makes you happy, and build yourself up. Stay nimble of heart, happy of thought, healthy of mind, and well in being. " Janet A. Sullivan (via Mom) | Cheryl, I can't begin to tell you how much I have thoroughly enjoyed your class. Your vast knowledge and expertise will serve me well with future clients. You have the patience of Job and convey this in your teaching. Thank you so much, Linda L. Moore, R.N. |
"The test (AAM) was easy. I'm almost positive I passed. RoseMarie commented to me that I did good work, thanks to you. I also met a woman there from Mass.( forgot her name) that trained at your place. She and I were the first to complete the test. I was out of there within three hrs. Thanks for everything YOUR THE BEST." Karen ________________ Dear Cheryl, Just wanted to let you know how pleased and comfortable I felt with my training I received from Lasting Impressions. The way the course is set up to allow students to be able to read the manual and take skills tests at home at their own pace is a definite plus for someone like me. Your communication and teaching skills are very good. Having the ability to make sure we have concepts and the SofTap techniques down in class are one thing, but the patience it must take to oversee students who are practicing those new skills on live models is a real feat in itself!! I was very glad you were so strict with our technique. Thanks, Cheryl, for putting so much effort into making sure we walked away with confidence and ability. Your "Doss Method" really works. Best Regards, Karen Loughrey
